URBANE
Upscaling Innovative Green Urban Logistics Solutions Through Multi-Actor Collaboration and PI-Inspired Last Mile Deliveries
URBANE identifies and scales-up novel, sustainable, safe, resilient and effective last-mile delivery solutions, combining green automated vehicles and shared space utilisation models. The project will test innovative TRL7/8 efficient, replicable and socially acceptable innovative last-mile delivery solutions.

Lighthouse Living Labs
URBANE will support the transition path towards effective, resilient, safe and sustainable last-mile transport, through four Lighthouse Living Labs (LL) in Helsinki, Bologna, Valladolid and Thessaloniki.
Innovation Transferability Platform
The continued application of the project's results and lessons learnt is a critical component. This will be made possible through its URBANE Innovation Transferability Platform, which includes Digital Twinning Tools, open models, smart contracts governed by blockchain technology and a data-driven Impact Assessment Radar.
Two Twinning LLs will be carried out in Barcelona and Karlsruhe to demonstrate their unique solutions.
URBANE LLs implementation methodology is designed with the aim of realising interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary breakthrough advances. The Lighthouse LLs were chosen to implement diverse delivery strategies, but cross-fertilisation of outcomes across all LLs is likely to contribute to operational improvements.
The incorporation of six early adopters (Follower Cities) in feasibility studies of the innovations’ adoption reinforces URBANE’s commitment to upscaling, promoting the establishment of new LL communities across Europe.
