The challenge.
European manufacturing SMEs continue to rely on manual production coordination and operator-dependent quality inspection, resulting in production delays, inconsistent quality and limited visibility across shop-floor operations. At the same time, adopting advanced AI technologies remains challenging due to complexity, limited digital capabilities and the need to comply with emerging regulations such as the GDPR and the EU AI Act.

Approach & solutions.
To address this challenge, TERIYAKI develops a voice-enabled Digital Intelligent Assistant (DIA) that supports manufacturing SMEs by combining Artificial Intelligence, Computer Vision and real-time production intelligence. Designed to address practical shop-floor challenges, the solution assists operators with task coordination, automates quality inspection and provides actionable insights that improve productivity, product quality and operational efficiency while promoting responsible AI adoption.
Key capabilities include:
- Voice-enabled operator assistance for intuitive task coordination and workflow management.
- AI-powered quality assurance through Computer Vision for automated defect detection.
- Real-time production monitoring using KPIs to support informed operational decisions.
- Intelligent workflow optimisation to reduce delays, idle time and improve shop-floor efficiency.
- Trustworthy AI implementation aligned with GDPR and the EU AI Act.
TERIYAKI combines advanced AI technologies with practical manufacturing needs to deliver a scalable, human-centric solution tailored to SMEs. Its modular architecture supports future deployment across a wide range of manufacturing environments, accelerating the digital transformation of European industry.
