INLECOM Hosts PROBONO General Assembly in Athens

In April 2026, INLECOM had the pleasure of hosting the PROBONO General Assembly in Athens, bringing together project partners from across Europe for a series of productive discussions focused on the final phase of the project and its long-term impact.

The meeting provided an important opportunity for consortium members to review progress, align strategic priorities, and coordinate the activities required to ensure the successful completion of the project. Over the course of the two-day event, partners engaged in detailed discussions on technical developments, implementation progress, dissemination activities, and exploitation strategies that will support the sustainability and market uptake of PROBONO’s outcomes beyond the project lifecycle.

The first day of the General Assembly focused on project-wide coordination and roadmap alignment towards the final reporting period. Partners reviewed progress across the various technical work packages and discussed key priorities for the months ahead. Particular attention was given to the validation of the Green Building Neighbourhoods (GBN) Vision, advancements in innovative digital solutions, including the Digital Twin platform, and the identification of actions required to address potential implementation risks. The afternoon sessions concentrated on impact creation, dissemination planning, exploitation activities, and the long-term sustainability of project results.

The second day shifted the focus to the project’s six Living Labs located in Brussels, Aarhus, Prague, Porto, Dublin, and Madrid. Partners conducted an in-depth review of the implementation status of each site, examined progress against project objectives, and aligned on recommendations received from the European Commission. Discussions addressed remaining challenges, implementation risks, and the roadmap for finalising activities across all Living Labs.

Representing INLECOM, Zisis Palaskas led the session on Living Lab implementation status, providing a comprehensive overview of progress across the demonstration sites and facilitating discussions on key priorities and next steps. The session contributed to strengthening alignment among partners and ensuring a coordinated approach during this critical stage of the project.

Throughout the General Assembly, partners reaffirmed their shared commitment to accelerating the transition towards sustainable, energy-efficient, and people-centred neighbourhoods. The collaborative discussions highlighted the strength of the consortium and the collective effort being invested in delivering impactful solutions that will continue to generate value beyond the project’s duration.

INLECOM is proud to have hosted this important gathering in Athens and would like to thank all consortium partners for their active participation, valuable contributions, and continued collaboration. Special thanks are extended to the project coordinator, ACCIONA, for their ongoing leadership and support.

As PROBONO progresses towards its final phase, the consortium remains focused on maximising impact, ensuring the successful deployment of project solutions, and creating a lasting legacy for sustainable neighbourhood development across Europe.
